We collect certain information or data about you when you visit our site, sign up for updates or register to attend the West Midlands School Leaders Annual Conference 2018.

We collect:

  • the data you fill in on the registration form or newsletter sign-up form
  • chosen payment method
  • transaction ID if payment via PayPal. Please familiarise yourself with the Privacy Policy for PayPal Services
  • your IP address, and details of which version of web browser you used
  • information on how you use the site, using cookies

We collect additional data after registration via email or post:

  • record of bank transactions if payment via bank / wire transfer

This data can be viewed by authorised staff of Opening Doors & Venues as Appointed Organiser, authorised WMschoolled planning committee and the Teaching Schools Council. The data will be used in accordance to the items you have consented to when registering and for the legitimate interests of the Conference which in this case is to:

  • aid appropriate planning and delivery of event
  • send you reminders and other relevant information relating to the conference before, during and after the event
  • send you email updates of future West Midlands School Leaders Annual Conferences (if you opted in during registration)

Where your data is stored:

We store your data on secure servers in the UK and European Economic Area (EEA). We may also download a copy of the data to store on our secure company server in the EU and secure company computers for backup purposes. If you have consented to your data being added to the WMschoolled database, then your data will be stored on secure MailChimp US servers. You can view MailChimp’s privacy policy here . By submitting your personal data, you agree to this.

Keeping your data secure:

Sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and we can’t guarantee the security of your data while it’s in transit. Any data you send is at your own risk. We have procedures and security features in place to keep your data secure once we receive it. We will store your data for 3 years or until you instruct us to remove it.

Disclosing your information:

We will only pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so. Limited data will be shared with the Conference venue for the legitimate interest of on-site security, catering and layout planning. This data is limited to: Name, surname, organisation, job role, Dietary requirements, Special requirements. We will not share your information with any other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes unless you have give your consent upon registration. We won't pass on your details to any other websites.
