We are proud to stay true to our ethos of a conference ‘organised by schools for schools’, with representatives from each of the 7 West Midlands regions proactively contributing to the content and design, alongside Richard Gill, the Teaching Schools Council West Midlands Member and Kelvin Peel, Teaching and Leadership Advisor. All under the professional guidance of conference organisers, Opening Doors & Venues.

The Teaching Schools Council

The Teaching Schools Council (TSC) is developing, improving and changing education in English schools through a self-improving school-led system, so that all children attend a good school. It does this by representing and acting as an ambassador for the values and aspirations of teaching schools nationally and internationally.

Representing Teaching Schools and their alliances in the West Midlands. Working together for a truly inclusive school-led system. The TSC West Midlands Representative is Richard Gill, CEO of Arthur Terry Learning Partnership in Sutton Coldfield.

Alliance of Leading Learning

The Alliance of Leading Learning (ALL) is an extended Teaching School Alliance as part of the Marches Academy Trust, providing gold standard professional learning to those new to teaching, to schools requiring support and to the exemplary educational leaders of the future - ensuring we impact learners, leaders and schools and drive continuous improvement.

Arthur Terry

The Arthur Terry School is consistently the highest performing comprehensive school in the Birmingham. It is Cohort 1 Teaching School and as such has contributed extensively to the development of the system. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do with the moral imperative of improving life chances for all.

Barr Beacon

Barr Beacon School based in Walsall has recently been recognised as an Outstanding school and gained Teaching School status. A traditional school, where values of discipline, courtesy and good manners underpin the drive for academic success, Barr Beacon aims to achieve the very best results from every single pupil and prepare them for the world of work.

Bournville Junior

Based in Birmingham, Bournville Junior School Teaching School Alliance is committed to excellence in educational development. Our Teaching School Alliance currently consists of 22 schools and two Higher Education Institutions, we are developing rapidly as we bring in new partners to the Alliance.

Hebden Green School

Hebden Green are a specialist school for students with a broad range of physical disabilities, medical needs and associated learning difficulties, committed to providing an outstanding blend of education, therapy and care. We work in partnership with a teaching school alliance to enhance teaching and learning at Hebden Green School and across the local area.

Manor Primary

Manor Primary Teaching School Alliance in Wolverhampton is an outstanding National Teaching School with a proven track record in training and developing the next generation of school leaders and teachers. We work in partnership with other outstanding providers of education, training and professional learning, including the University of Birmingham.

Meadows Primary Academy

The Meadows Primary Academy is a Local Authority maintained primary school in Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent, currently in the process of converting to academy status. Over the past five years, the school has become an Attachment Aware School and has partnered with the Keele and North Staffordshire School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) to train six to eight graduates per year.

South Bromsgrove High

South Bromsgrove High is leading provider of professional development for teaching professionals across Worcestershire and the West Midlands. As an 'outstanding' school, we deliver high quality support, training and CPD for teachers in every stage of their careers from initial teaching training through to identifying and developing future school leaders.

Tudor Grange Teaching School

Tudor Grange Academy Solihull was awarded Teaching School status in 2012. We provide high quality bespoke training to schools around the West Midlands, including primary schools from the Birmingham Diocese and another 35 primary schools belonging to the primary school alliance. Tailored school to school support is provided for both primary and secondary schools.

OD&V is an independent conference and event management company with over 17 years’ experience in the production, management and delivery of events of all shapes and sizes. Based on the North Worcestershire border, OD&V has been selected to organise the West Midlands School Leaders Annual Conference for the past 3 years, from 2015 onwards.
